Ricardo Frederick Evans grew up in Washington DC and graduated from the National Conservatory of Dramatic Arts where he also serves as a faculty member. A trekkie for life, he is a sci-fi and fantasy fan and is ridiculously excited to be a part of The Broken Continent. He has had the pleasure of working with Cavegirl Productions on three of their 48 hour films – Presence, Restraint and Therapy for which he won a Best Actor Honorable Mention Award in 2010.
Primarily a stage actor, some of his credits include Hercules in Russia (Doorway Arts Ensemble); In the Red and Brown Water (Studio Theatre); Voices Underwater (Rorschach Theatre); 45 Seconds from Broadway (Totem Pole Playhouse); Nights at St. Januarius (Montage Theatre Co.); Auld Lang Syne (African-American Collective Theatre). Ricardo has appeared in multiple productions with Imagination Stage and for his performance in their 2012 production of Doctor Dolittle he was nominated for a Helen Hayes Award as Outstanding Supporting Actor, Resident Musical.
Ricardo is a teaching Artist with the Folger Shakespeare Library’s touring educational company Bill’s Buddies. He is also the president of the Actors’ Center and a member of Actors’ Equity. Look for him in the 2012 Capital Fringe production Madwoman in the Attic this July.
