David Bryan Jackson has been acting in the Washington, D.C. area for many years, most recently in Hub Theatre’s Big Love and The Seafarer for Scena Theatre, where he has also been seen in several other productions. He has also been seen at Pittsburgh Irish and Classical Theatre, The Shakespeare Theatre, Folger Theatre, Washington Stage Guild, Woolly Mammoth, Studio Theatre, Washington Shakespeare Company, Source Theatre, Signature Theatre, the Kennedy Center, the Potomac Theatre Project, and Olney Theatre (where he was literary manager for many years). He has also directed at several theatres, most recently Krapp’s Last Tape for Keegan Theatre’s New Island Project. Television credits include The Day Lincoln Was Shot and several episodes in the Learning Channel’s Great Books series; his voice can be heard in two Star Trek video games, and he played the title role in Patrick Daughters’ award-winning short film Unloved. He has law degrees from both sides of the Atlantic, and he has also worked at various times as an attorney, editor, lumberjack, carpenter, Lucite embedder, troubadour, and stand-up comic.
